Battersea seems to be going against the trend in the rental market according to an article published by the Evening Standard. Rental prices in London have dropped to their lowest autumn levels since 2013. Prices have dropped 3.3 percent even compared to the same time last year. THis is unusual as Autumn is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for the rental market everywhere.
Battersea however has seen a rise of 10.1 per cent, pushing the average to £2,204. Elephant and Castle was also up 6.6 per cent. The rise has been attributed to the surge of new build properties available in the area, which always command premium prices on the rental market.
