This workshop provides an opportunity for dance teachers to enrich their teaching skills through an interactive and practical exploration of inclusive dance practice. Following on from our webinar, ‘An introduction to inclusive dance practice when working with children and young people’, this workshop will further explore areas such as adapting codified movement and using the sensory equipment. It will also provide an opportunity to learn how to use choreography and creative tasks in an inclusive and inspiring way. Aims: The aims of this workshop are to: explore inclusive dance in an exciting, interactive and practical way. provide participants with further ideas and information on ways to adapt movement and choreographic work for different needs and ages. improve participants’ knowledge on disability within inclusive dance practice. enhance awareness of the wider impact of the inclusive practice. promote the inclusive practice and inspire participants to work inclusively.
