It will be his third since 2015 after new openings Sartoria on Savile Row and Radici in Islington. Although owned by Mazzei it will be run on a day to day basis by the new head chef Francesco Chiarelli, Fiume.
It is part of the first phase of Battersea Power Station’s £9billion redevelopment, Circus West Village, the restaurant is by the Thames and overlooking the piazza.
Chef Patron Francesco Mazzei said: “When I saw the plans for Circus West Village and Battersea Power Station as a whole, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be involved.
“It is a one-of-a-kind project that will attract people from all over the world and I cannot wait to feed them all.”
Fiume will be a 120-cover venue designed by Macaulay Sinclair and feature an open kitchen with a wood-fired oven, bar counter dining for 15 covers, and a terrace where up to 50 guests can dine al fresco.
