It seems Mother , the cult Copenhagen pizza restaurant, is opening at Battersea Power Station this weekend. The retaurant will have about 170 cover and two wood fired ovens and is located in the first arch under the railway by the Power Station.

This weekend it’s hosting a “grand welcoming party”- and it’s completely free.

They are giving away beer, wine and and about 2,000 pizzas on Saturday, July 22 from noon until late. The not so secret ingredient in the dough is sea water according to one of it’s founders. There will also be live music and DJs playing all day and into the night.

Mother will officially open on Sunday, July 23, with a buffet style brunch. Counters will be filled with a selection of homemade pasta dishes, cold meats, cheeses and breakfast foods such as pastries, muffins, granola, and bread.
