A man has now been charged with murder after the fatal Wandsworth stabbing in Ellerton Road, Sunday on April 1.

Billy Botton, 24 and a Wandsworth resident was arrested, and charged with murder on April 3.

He is due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates Court today (April 4).

The stabbing happened after a 20-year-old man was attacked after he left a bar on Easter Sunday. Police were called shortly after midnight answering a call  that a man had been seriously injured on Ellerton Road.

Paramedics from London Ambulance Service and police officers at the scene tried to save the man but he unfortunately died.

His next of kin were informed and formal identification awaits.
