Just a reminder not to forget about the road closures this Sunday (July 30th) due to the Prudential cycle event.
It will affect many of the roads in Wandsworth, and as such make sure you plan accordingly if you need to travel by road.

Thousands of rider, both amateur and professional, are expected to take part in Sunday’s ride and various events, which are based largely on the London 2012 Olympic cycling race route.

Riders will travel from the Olympic park in east London to the Surrey Hills, taking them through Putney. Crowds of spectators are expected to line the route and Putney High Street’s shops, bars, restaurants, pubs and cafes will be open for business on the day.

As a consequence, the following local roads will be closed to all vehicle traffic from 7.30am on Sunday. They are expected to reopen at around 7.30pm, although this timing is subject to change.

Wimbledon Parkside SW19
Tibbet’s Corner SW19
Tibbet’s Ride SW15
Putney Hill SW15
Putney High Street SW15 (closed from 6am)
Putney Bridge SW15 (southbound)
Kingston, Chelsea, Albert and Battersea Bridges will all be closed while Wandsworth Bridge will be closed with access for residents only from 7am to around 7.30pm. There will be northbound access only on Putney Bridge.

The A3 will be open, although the exit slip roads at Esher Common, Coombe Lane and Tibbet’s Corner will be closed.
