About

Are you returning to work after maternity leave or considering a return following a career break? Would you like to better understand your legal rights as a working parent? Perhaps you've been off work for a while and are not sure what to say about your career break or how to structure your CV?  Join us for this 90-minute workshop and have your questions answered by industry experts.  Employment Law Specialist, Florence Brocklesby, and Career Expert, Kath Sloggett, are teaming up to present this friendly and informative workshop covering the legal and practical aspects of returning to work.  They'll be discussing commonly encountered questions such as how to ask for flexible working and understanding your rights around shared parental leave.  Plus they'll be sharing insider secrets on the best ways to find flexible roles, and tried and tested practical tips for a smooth return to work. About the Presenters Florence Brocklesby is a solicitor and mother of three.  She specialises in employment law and litigation.  After several years with large City law firms, she founded the boutique firm Bellevue Law which is opening its Northcote Road office on 1 February 2018.  Florence has a special interest in helping women who face employment issues such as workplace discrimination.  Kath Sloggett, founder of Runneth London, is an entrepreneur, career coach and start-up adviser.  From a corporate background originally, she has over 10 years’ experience advising professionals and entrepreneurs. Kath is a working mother of two and similarly to Florence, has a special interest in helping women with their working lives.  She has a practical and pragmatic style and has successfully helped many women return to work, progress in their careers, or change careers.   The ticket price includes a hot drink and a pastry.   Children are welcome and buggy parking is available. (As a courtesy to our host venue, please do not bring your own food or drink, except for babies/small children.) Profits from the workshop will be donated to SmartWorks – a charity which helps women return to work by providing interview workwear and advice.  Please note: We will also be running an evening workshop on the same topic at the same venue on Monday 29th January 2018, 8.00pm-9.30pm, if that timing suits you better.
