This workshop provides teachers with basic knowledge about the adolescent dancer: Covering both physiological and psychological development, implications for performance and health, teachers will have the opportunity to share experiences of managing differing maturity timing specific to their own teaching context and consider best practice. Designed as a day of talks with a more basic focus in the morning session, advancing this knowledge in the afternoon session. Teachers could attend both or a single session.   Aims These sessions will address the implications of growth and maturation for training, health, and wellbeing, as well as considering practical approaches to training the adolescent dancer and providing a space for the discussion and sharing of best practice.   This workshop carries 8 hours of Time-Valued CPD.
